Welcome to study Strategy at Aalto University – and become a game changer!

There are some changes – in future, entry to master’s level strategy studies takes place via one of the three channels.

School of BIZ has two master’s programmes where strategy is a specialization area: Global Management/CEMS Program, and Management and International Business (MIB) Master’s Program.

At School of Science strategy is taught in Strategy and Venturing major of the Master’s Program in Industrial Engineering and Management.

The entry to the Aalto Master’s Programme in Strategy has been discontinued as part of the efforts to streamline the offered programmes. We still accept bachelor students in the internal transition (from Aalto Biz and Mikkeli bachelor’s programmes) until 31.7.2018. The acceptance requirement to the programme is a Bachelor’s degree GPA of 4.0 or higher.

This spring saw the fifth consecutive year of Aalto Strategy Case Competition in action. In the two-day competition, teams from all around Finland got to test their business acumen and presentation skills in addressing real-life problems from leading Finnish companies. Students gained invaluable exposure to the toughest business challenges. The competition also created contacts between the prominent students and the working life.

The winning team this year consisted of Peetu Virkkala, Eelis Paukku, Eetu Rantanen and Tuomas Alatulkkila, IEM students from the University of Oulu. Congratulations to the winners! Thanks to all participating teams who contributed to the success of the event.

Many thanks also to the partners of the event for providing their expertise and support - The Boston Consulting Group, Kone, Kesko and Hilti.

ASCC is run and organised by Aalto Strategy, the subject club for students in the Aalto Master's Programme in Strategy.

The application period to the Master’s Programme in Strategy is open until 25 January, 2017!

The programme has been developed in close collaboration with leading consulting companies. Our graduates typically pursue careers in management consulting, private equity, venture capital, entrepreneurship and managerial positions in international companies.

We accepted new 17 students at School of Business and 9 students at School of Science to the M.Sc. Strategy program.

A total of 3 355 people applied for master's degree studies during the application period that ended on the 15th of January.
