It is with the greatest sadness that we have to announce the sudden passing away of Professor Michel-Mihai CALCIU of the Université de Lille (France), following a bike accident. Since 2007, Michel had been a loyal guest of the conference. A discreet but brilliant researcher, Michel contributed to the development of the GRAPPA (2021) and RoBERTa (2024) methods, which publication was a prime IMTC exclusivity. The hint to the local Italian grappa cannot be missed, and perfectly illustrates Michel’s sense of humour. A great friend will be missed but we shall always cherish his kindness and intellectual curiosity.
All our thoughts and prayers are with his beloved wife Marie-Ange and his daughter Diana.
Michel’s funeral will take place at the Lille-Fives St-Nicolas Orthodox Church on Saturday July 11th, 2026 at 08:45.

Cher, très cher Jean-François Boss. Of course you were front row in Venice in 2000 to support the launch of International Marketing Trends Conference (IMTC). We shared so much in Venice but also Paris, Madrid, even digitaly in Berlin last year. Your always forward thinking brilliant contribution to marketing academic research will be forever missed.
