18th Edition Wiring Regulations Course

We have availability on our next 18th Edition Course, running on Monday 8th July.

The course is offered as combined distance learning, practice exams are supplied which cover parts 1 to 7 and appendixes. You will be sent the learning material to study at home.

Learners are required to attend the Centre on 8th July to revise the learning materials and to take the exam.

How it’s made 🛠️
We had a great visit to last week, meeting the team and seeing how the cables we use day to day are manufactured.
Since 1984 Doncaster Cables have manufactured wiring cables and flexible cords in the UK, in… you guessed it… Doncaster! Great to see some UK manufacturing still going strong 🇬🇧

Mark started his Electrical Apprenticeship in 2019 but was let down by a previous training company, he came to us in October 2023 and was fast-tracked through his knowledge units to complete in May 2024 with amazing results.

We have been inundated with calls from Options Skills learners, understandably worried by recent events.
While we wait for more guidance from EAL, the following advice has been shared by The Electrotechnical Skills Partnership.

Options Skills Ceased Trading: TESP Advice to Learners

Learners registered with Options Skills are understandably very concerned. TESP is liaising with awarding organisations EAL and City & Guilds who are urgently reviewing what can be done to support learners according to their individual circumstances and the qualifications they were enrolled on.

We strongly advise learners not to sign up to any new financial agreements or contracts until their position is clear.

The terms of any existing finance arrangements should be reviewed carefully, Citizens Advice can advise on individual circumstances.

🚗⚡️ Electric Vehicles- It's the future!
Within a 5-minute walk of our Centre, there are currently over 15 EV charging stations- with more appearing all the time.
The UK Government is targeting a shift to EVs by 2023, the demand for chargers will only increase.
At Beau Associates, we are offering an Electric Vehicle Charging course. This course is provided for Electricians who will be installing Electric Vehicle chargers in domestic and commercial locations. When qualified you will be able to apply for inclusion on the OZEV (The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles) register of competent Electric Vehicle Charging Installers.

We have a Level 4 Design and Verification Course running for 15 evenings from 31st October.

This qualification is delivered one evening per week for 15 weeks.

Two years ago we opened our AM2 centre in Ashton-under-Lyne with David our Assessor. We would like to thank all our local colleges for their support Bury College, Bradford College, Oldham College PT Academy, GC Education & Skills SkillCentre, JTL and two new colleges Macclesfield College & Hopwood Hall College and NET Services. Most of all we would like to thank the learners who have taken their AM2 at our Centre.
