💥Finance is more than numbers. It’s about understanding the decisions behind them.

The University of Bristol Mumbai Enterprise Campus welcomed Raunak Damle, Senior Manager - Syndication and Structured Finance at Tata Capital, for an engaging masterclass on corporate finance, strategic thinking and behavioural finance.

💡 Through case studies, data tables and interactive exercises, students explored concepts ranging from EBITDA, free cash flow and valuation to the psychology behind financial decisions.

The session brought together financial analysis and human behavior, encouraging students to look beyond the numbers and question what drives business and investment decisions. Because understanding finance means understanding both the numbers and the people behind them.

And just like that, a new chapter begins in Mumbai. ✨

The University of Bristol Mumbai Enterprise Campus has officially opened its doors, welcoming its first cohort of students to a campus built around ideas, ambition and opportunity.

The occasion brought together students, academics, alumni, and partners to mark the beginning of a new community and a new chapter for Bristol in Mumbai.

And what better way to celebrate the connection between Bristol and Mumbai than with Shanta Gokhale, Bristol alumna, writer, translator, journalist and theatre critic, who was awarded an honorary degree on the occasion, becoming the first graduate of the Mumbai Enterprise Campus, 64 years after graduating from Bristol. 🎓

From the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony to the first conversations, introductions and moments shared together, the day was filled with symbolism, celebration and a sense of what’s to come.

Here’s to the first students, the first memories, the first ideas and everything that comes next.

Another great session in the books at 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐥'𝐬 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐛.

Today, we hosted Saugato Bhowmik, Director – CPG, Automotive & D2C, Global Business Group at Meta, and honestly, it felt less like a guest lecture and more like a masterclass in how ideas become innovation.

Saugato Bhowmik walked us through real frameworks from his own career, how OTT platforms decide what to launch, how CPG brands scale from awareness to repeat purchase, and how D2C brands grow from a website to your neighborhood store.

It tied in perfectly with what our Future Lab has been building toward, moving from Findings to Insights, to Opportunity.

💡But the piece that'll probably stay with our students the longest wasn't a framework at all. It was his own advice: spend your first ten years trying different things before you figure out your true calling. Don't box yourself into one role too early.

Coming from someone who went from soap, to streaming, to energy drinks, to Meta that's not just advice, it's proof.

As our students head into their classes this term, we hope they carry that these lessons with them, stay curious, stay open, and let the ideas find them.
