Campaigning is officially over and the results are now out! Sadly, I didn't win the elections, but it has been an incredible two weeks of campaigning and I enjoyed every minute of it. Getting out there, joining events, and meeting so many new people has been such a fantastic experience. And we've officially broken the online voting record with an incredible 2206 votes!!!

Many congratulations to everybody that won in the elections. And all the best for everybody that sadly didn't make the vote. Every single one of us did a fantastic job!

I wish all of you that won a great year to come and much success in further building our Students' Union.

Our new Sabbatical team at Undeb will be:
President: Mark Barrow
VP of Sport: Henry Williams
VP of Societies & Volunteering: Muhammad Firdaus
VP of Education: Harry Riley
UMCB President: Lleucu Myrddin

A big thank you for everybody who voted; and for BREAKING THE VOTING RECORD!! Special thanks goes to my superb campaigning team. It has been an amazing two weeks, and I'm really excited about everything that it has brought.

In particular, I wanted to thank Hono O No for all the poster and flyer designs, Byron Dean for his amazing campaigning videos and editing, James Timothy for his photography, Eleanor Worthington for her neat Facebook profile designs, and both Musa Saad & Athanasia Tsouni for their help distributing the flyers and posters.

An additional shout out to Louise Fell, for all her advice and support.

Furtermore, immense appreciation for Ruth, Conor, James, Mathew, Raja, Aaditya, Israfil, Patrikios, Ada, Astral, Hannah and Alun for their help along the way, as well as everybody giving support and backup.

Eagerly anticipating what lies ahead,
Fred

Finally, my campaigning video made by Bangor's very own Byron Dean!

Since production began, other ideas have come to my list though, through talking to you at events and socials.
Building on the Societies and Volunteering Calendar we could additionally add clubs, especially for joint events like the last AU Dodgeball tournament which included both Societies and Course Reps raising a lot of money. Why not have similar events coming from us societies collaborating with the entire SU?
A Volunteering Instagram account will also need to be set up of course. Those and other ideas have been put to me whilst talking to you, so please, feel free to mention anything you would like to see changed or built on within Undeb, so we can hopefully incorporate that into our SU.

Although not running for VP of Sports, I'm still interested in several sport clubs and activities outside of Societies and Volunteering. After speaking to quite a few of these, it was suggested to expand the Societies Calendar to all areas within the SU, and to create more cross-collaborative events such as this years Dodgeball Tournament, which both societies, volunteering projects and sport clubs could take part in and to fundraise.

With many cuts scheduled for the next few years, I want to help societies reach out to other businesses allowing stronger sponsorship opportunities.
Hand in hand with this, connections for internships and additional work experience could be made possible for free.

After feedback from course mates, society socials and freshers' week in my role as Student Hero, I want to make it easier for students to get an overview of what's going on around Bangor:
Through a Societies and Volunteering Calendar that can be edited manually, it will be easier to keep track of events across the board. We from Undeb can then help promote them over social media and via posters.
I also plan on creating a Society Guild and a Volunteering Instagram account, for further advertisement and last minute updates.
