A new peer-reviewed article has been published in the Journal of Working-Class Studies: How Universal Basic Income (UBI) Can Empower the Working Class Through Improved Wage Negotiation and Poverty Alleviation. Co-authored by Hefin Gwilym, Bangor University, David Beck, University of Salford, and Nghiêm Phương Anh, a former Bangor postgraduate taught student, the article examines how Universal Basic Income can strengthen workers' bargaining power, reduce poverty and inequality, and enhance economic security for working-class communities.
