With temperatures soaring, our teams have been working hard on site and feeling the full force of the heat. Looking after our people and our customers is always our top priority, especially during these lovely hot summer days!

To help everyone stay safe and comfortable, we’ve delivered bottled water across all areas of our Bristol site for customers to help themselves to. We also surprised our teams with some well deserved cold sweet treats! 🍦

Let’s all take a bit of extra care during this heat, looking out for one another and making sure we’re doing what we can to stay safe and well.

A huge thank you to everyone continuing to give their all in the very hot conditions. 👏

We were delighted to welcome Smiths Gloucester Ltd. to our Bristol site recently, showcasing our food waste, liquid, and compost facilities.

The visit also gave us a great opportunity to hold a business review meeting and explore how we can continue to work together, now and in the future.

May was a big month for waste at GENeco! ♻️

Our BioBee food waste collection service hit its highest volumes of the year! Combined with our Food Waste Recycling Centre, we accepted the equivalent weight of 940 African elephants 🐘

💧 Over on the liquid side, things were just as busy, with GENeco treating the equivalent of a garden hose running non-stop for 78 days 🚿

🌿 And our compost team were kept on their toes too, processing enough solid waste to cover the Old Trafford pitch to full remediation depth ⚽

A fantastic team effort all round, turning waste into valuable resources every single day! 💚

Champions! 🏆⚽

We're proud sponsors of Priory Pumas Athletic, who have just been crowned Under 16’s Woodspring League Division 1 Champions!

With an outstanding record of 15 wins from 21 games and only 2 losses all season, this achievement reflects the team’s dedication and hard work. 👏

We’re honoured to have been part of their journey and wish the players every success as they complete their grassroots football chapter and progress into colts and adult football.

Congratulations to everyone involved, including our colleague Dan M&E Project Manager for helping to coach the team.

It was great to welcome Will from Veolia to Bristol for a tour of our Liquid Waste Treatment Centre. After an initial Teams meeting exploring the types of waste we can process, Will was keen to dive deeper into both the mechanical and biological stages of our treatment operations.

Spring is finally upon us and it was a lovely sunny day, making it the perfect backdrop for discussing new waste streams that could be a strong fit for GENeco. It is always a pleasure collaborating with our customers, who share our commitment to sustainable waste management.

April kept us busy across all treatment areas, turning waste into a valuable resource day in, day out ♻️

🚗 The Bio-Bee collected food waste equivalent to the weight of 90 family cars.

🏡 Compost processed enough material to feed 40,000 UK gardens, with 45 kg of compost each.

🏙️ The Liquid Treatment Centres handled the equivalent of around 12 days of water use for a small UK town.

Just another month of delivering real results for the environment. 💚

Every year, around 33% of all food produced globally is lost or wasted. Just a quarter of that wasted food would be enough to feed the 795 million people who are undernourished worldwide.

Today is Stop Food Waste Day, and as a company dedicated to sustainable food‑waste solutions, we’re proud to play our part. At GENeco, we transform food waste into renewable gas that’s injected directly back into the national gas grid, turning a global problem into a clean, circular solution.
