Using inspiration from Hilaire Belloc's Cautionary tales, Fusion and M4M have written up-to-date versions, including a warning to parents about the dangers of limited wifi allowances which will be performed at the concert, alongside 'advice for living', a wonderful inter-generational perspective accompanied orchestrally by members of the world renowned Philharmonia Orchestra, North Beds Youth chamber orchestra and DCSE!

This years Christmas concert was amazing. The ensemble of talented choirs who gathered with Da Capo String Ensemble to create an evening of festive entertainment was truly magical. The church resounded with players, singers and audience coming together in joyful harmony.

It isn't easy orchestrating an event like this. But our conductor Jeni Melia, as always, pulled everything together and enabled everyone to give their best.

Concert news!

Playing and singing is rewarding in itself, but vastly more rewarding when sharing it with an audience.

So here are two important dates for your diaries:

Sunday 29th November at 7pm - All Saints Church, Queens Park Bedford

Sunday 6th December at 5pm - Royal Festival Hall on London's Southbank

Da Capo String Ensemble are thrilled to be involved again in this flagship intergenerational project, performing unique material composed by participants and project leader Tim Steiner supported by the Philharmonia.

Da Capo String Ensemble will join forces with local groups Tibbs Dementia Services 'Music 4 Memory', Fusion Youth Choir, North Beds Youth Chamber Orchestra and Philharmonia musicians to create and perform together, challenging stigma and stereotypes, building an inclusive community in Bedford and beyond through music.

Please come along, not only to support people living with dementia, but also to hear fantastic music performed by committed and enthusiastic musicians.
