📢 £13,510 Grant Helps Central Mailing Services Cut Energy Costs & Drive Sustainability!

Central Mailing Services is a Birmingham based full service print and mailing house that works with clients across industries to prepare and dispatch printed materials. As part of their commitment to efficiency and sustainability, they wanted to reduce energy consumption while ensuring the business remained competitive and future-proof for their staff.

After attending a networking event, they discovered the Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS) / Decarbonisation Net Zero (DNZ) Programme, which helps SMEs tackle energy challenges and plan for a greener future.

A comprehensive energy audit by Aston Universityersity revealed that older machinery was consuming excessive energy, making it clear that upgrading technology was the way forward.

CentralMailingServices then secured a £13,510 match funding grant to invest in new technology, including developing their own in-house printer. This investment has led to lower energy costs, reduced reliance on inefficient machinery, and a greener, more sustainable printing process.

By implementing the recommended measures, CMS will achieve:

✅ Projected annual carbon savings: 4 tonnes/year
✅ Projected annual energy savings: 7,000 kWh/year
✅ Projected annual cost savings: £2,500/year

These savings aren’t just reducing costs, they’re being reinvested into R&D, allowing CMS to continue innovating and future-proofing their business.
