We're delighted to announce that the documentary film SOME STORIES about the work of internationally renowned novelist and lecturer in the Department of Film and Creative Writing, Dr Ruth Gilligan, has been selected for the AHRC-funded online film festival CHANGING THE STORY INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2020.

SOME STORIES was directed and edited by Professor Rob Stone of the Department of Film and Creative Writing and filmed by Dr Jimmy Hay of the University of Bristol and Will McKeown, a PhD candidate in the University of Birmingham.

Changing the Story is a 4-year international participatory-action research project looking at how young people can be supported to build and influence civil society in post-conflict countries. The project is generating a huge amount of artistic outputs, from musical performances to visual street art...

You are warmly invited to the FCW and B-Film Festive screening of GREMLINS in The Carroll (Muirhead G15) at 5pm on Thursday 12th December. Everybody is welcome! Just turn up! The screening will be introduced by Dr Cat Lester and there will be bags of chocolate coins for everyone (while stocks last). Come and join our hearty celebration of the end of term!
