This May half-term we’re bringing our Themed Adventure Workshop to Brighton as a holiday club - two hours of storytelling, drama games, parachute play, music and hands-on craft making, all woven around an original Debutots story world.

Every session is led by our specialist early years practitioners and designed specifically for children aged 4 to 8. It’s not a drop-off and sit-down. It’s active, imaginative, purposeful play — the kind that sends them home buzzing and sleeping well 😄

Ever watched a child disappear into a story? 🌀

One minute they’re a little unsure, standing at the edge of the room. The next they’re deep in an imaginary world - parachute billowing overhead, eyes wide, completely lost in the adventure.

That’s what a Debutots session looks like from the inside.

This May half-term we’re bringing our Themed Adventure Workshop to Brighton as a holiday club - two hours of storytelling, drama games, parachute play, music and hands-on craft making, all woven around an original Debutots story world.

Every session is led by our specialist early years practitioners and designed specifically for children aged 4 to 8. It’s not a drop-off and sit-down. It’s active, imaginative, purposeful play — the kind that sends them home buzzing and sleeping well 😄

Your child doesn’t need to read yet. They just need to listen. 📖

Every story in a Debutots session is quietly doing something remarkable - building the vocabulary, focus and narrative understanding that reading depends on. Long before they ever sound out a word.

Auditory storytelling is the precursor to literacy. Not a nice extra. The actual foundation.

A new term. A new world. And a very grumpy gardener.

This week we’re opening the door on Springtime in the Garden — our first story block of the summer term — and we couldn’t think of a better way to begin than with Ella Ewe 🐑

She’s got something to say. The gardener isn’t happy about it. And things are about to get interesting.

We can’t wait to see what our little storytellers make of them both.
