π¦΄π¬ University of Brighton researchers are developing a pioneering new sensor that could help detect osteoarthritis before irreversible joint damage occurs -opening the door to earlier diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
The 14-month project, led by Professor Katherine Staines alongside Professor Bhavik Patel and Dr Lisa Mullen, aims to identify tiny chemical changes in joint fluid linked to the earliest stages of arthritis π©βπ¬βοΈ
