At BULABDS, we pride ourselves on being one of the largest societies at the University of Bristol, with dance classes taught by professional dance coaches that are designed to be easy-going, giving you plenty of time and opportunity to socialise, have fun, and at the same time learn to dance. Whether you've never danced Ballroom/Latin before or you're an experienced dancer, whether you would like

to learn to dance for pure social purposes or have a dab at competitive dancing, BULABDS have a range of classes to suit you. Come along to our spring ball for an evening of dancing, eating and celebrating a fantastic year!
The Mount Without is a historic and gorgeous Bristol venue with a full dancefloor which we're gonna fill up with every dance we've done this year.
When you want a quiet moment away from the floor, head down the elegant crypt bar for chats and drinks!
Whether you're a social members, advanced dancers member or a beloved alumni come along and show off your dance skills at Bristol's only full dance ball!!
Ticket price includes a two course meal accommodating all dietary requirements.
The deadline for ticket is NOON TODAY, MARCH 13TH.
Dress code: Waltz of the Flowers.... Black tie, Floral tie, flowers in your hair tie, floral prints, buttonholes, flower crowns or none of the above. Come and celebrate with BULABDS! 🌷🌹🌺🌻🌼

In memory of Gaia Young

Gaia was the most loyal friend and was always looking out for others. She had a remarkable talent for seeing the best in everyone, and effortlessly brightened our days with her smile and positivity.

It was a privilege to have shared the dance floor with Gaia, where her grace and elegance shone. Her enthusiasm for dance was infectious, whether that was in the ballroom, on a social night out or simply in the kitchen - an opportunity to dance was never missed.

A few members of BULABDS also had the fortune to share the ice rink with her, where she inspired and encouraged her friends to push themselves. She was incredibly talented, creative and humble and embraced all elements of life. She brought so much joy and laughter to so many lives. Her memory will be forever cherished by those who were lucky enough to call her a friend.

In recognition of Gaia’s unrelenting commitment to dance, infectious enthusiasm and motivation, BULABDS would like to honor her with the creation of the Gaia Young Award for most improved.

Olé! Here comes some Paso Doble magic. DidYouKnow that Paso Doble is actually a French parody of the Spanish bullfighting tradition?

While the music has Spanish origins, the steps can be traced back to a French military march.

The leader represents the torero or matador and the follower the "capa", the red cape. This picture is perfectly represented by Pete and Ros on this photo from Birmingham Friendly last week.
