Today in 1916, the chapel was opened and blessed. This gorgeous building has been at the heart of St Edmund's for exactly 110 years.

Even though the days are getting colder, and the leaves are changing, St Edmund's is still full of life! Our orchard is home to a huge variety of wildlife, from robins to muntjac deer.

Do you sing, play piano, guitar, or even the triangle? 🎼

Then sign up for St Edmund's Instrumental Award Auditions, taking place from 2PM - 4PM in the Garden Room on 22 October. If successful, you could win £50 and be entitled to claim up to £250 for music lessons, scores, or instruments.

On this day in 2007, our library, along with the Brian Heap and Geoffrey Cook buildings, were opened by Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.

Have you felt that chill in the air, seen the leaves start to change, or started on the pumpkin spice? Well then, we have the perfect autumnal activity to make your October even cosier!

Come join us this afternoon as we pick surplus apples from our very own orchard to donate to a local organisation 🍎

Apples will be donated to Cambridge Sustainable Food, a local organisation working to build a fairer, more sustainable food system which supports the community and the environment. Cambridge Sustainable Food will be able to batch cook the apples into some delicious seasonal treats, which will be distributed at their community events.

To find the orchard, find the chapel, then walk straight on between the Brian Heap Building and the Richard Laws Building. Turn left towards the trees. See you there 👋

With matriculation now behind you, and freshers' week just beginning, you may feel a little out of your depth. The start of term is jam-packed. While meeting loads of new people, getting stuck into your new course, and exploring Cambridge can be exciting, it can also be incredibly exhausting.

Our wonderful Father Ed is one of many points of contact for pastoral support in the college. He would like to remind everyone he's always up for a chat or a cup of tea ☕
