The new School crest has been added as the finishing touch to the CSAD School building on the Llandaff campus.

The striking steel sculpture built by Gideon Petersen takes pride of place on the outside of the new School building which formally opens in September 2014.

Gideon was awarded the commission to reinterpret the Universities Crest, using hand beaten sheet stainless steel, carefully formed to create the layered effect of the crest. The scale of the final piece is extremely ambitious, over five metres in height, and nearly one tonne in weight. The Crest is befitting of the impressive new CSAD building, and clearly signifies the School’s move to the Llandaff campus this Summer.
