What are you up to now? Kirsty Payne, class of 2018, Diagnostic Radiography

From finding her feet as a mature student at Fusehill Street to working as a senior radiographer with Public Health Wales, 2018 graduate Kirsty Payne has built an incredible career in healthcare. Today, she lives in Bethesda, Wales, with her partner Dan and their rescue Labrador, Meg. When she’s not screening patients on mobile units in supermarket car parks, you’ll find her practicing partner acrobatics, fire spinning, or relaxing with Japanese fiction.

Check out Kirsty's full profile to read about her journey into Diagnostic Radiography, her big career goals, and the Carlisle yoga studio that got her through uni.

We had a brilliant morning on our Ambleside campus catching up with the starters of 1976! It was wonderful to hear their favorite memories as they celebrated 50 years since starting college together.

It’s always a pleasure welcoming our alumni back. If you and your old classmates are planning a catch-up, we’d love to host you. We offer group tours across all our campuses, not just Ambleside.

Interested in taking a stroll down memory lane? Drop us an email [email protected] to arrange a visit!

We’re a nosey bunch here in the Alumni Association, and our absolute favourite thing is finding out what our graduates are up to!

Where has life taken you? What song immediately sends you back to your student days? What would your 21-year-old self think of you now? (And most importantly... what are your top Cumbria recommendations?)

We’re looking for new alumni profiles to feature across our channels, and we’d love to include you! It only takes a few minutes, and you can even plug your business or current projects.
