I have just completed my Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design at Oxford Brookes University. In undertaking my degree I found that the areas I excelled in were that of painting, drawing, photography and film making. In my work I love combining these skills to create original designs through merging images, layering and collage work. My favourite artists are: Saul Bass (I admire his simplistic style
and flat colour imagery), Paul Rand ( he was brilliant in designing smart logos), Tomato Project (I love merging images, collage), David Carson (his work inspires to use several techniques in producing a design). My main influences are surrealism and Dada. That is visible in my works. I find Graphic design really exciting, as it is a combination, of Art forms, which becomes more accessible to everyone through Graphic Design. As a person I am passionate about helping others. It is my goal to use Graphic Design as a tool to educate others on social issues within society. I believe Graphic Design can be used as a driving force to empower actions towards issues such as homelessness, child abuse, racism, etc. I hope to achieve this goal and many others whilst genuinely doing something I am passionate about.
