Research on 'the economy' and protest during the pandemic Postgraduate research from University of Warwick looking at 'the economy' and political protest

27/03/2023

Did you join a protest in the USA during the Covid-19 pandemic? I'd love to interview you!

I am a researcher running a project on “The economy” and protests during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research aims to improve scholarly understandings of the economy by better reflecting how American citizens experience it in their everyday life.

I am looking for people from all backgrounds aged 18 plus who participated in protests during the pandemic (April-July 2020). In the interview I will ask you questions about your life experiences of the economy, politics and your involvement in political protests; you can answer the questions any way you want and it is not a ‘test’ of knowledge. I am interviewing regular American citizens, so I’m looking for people who do not work in economics or politics professionally. The interview should only take one hour, and your responses will be pseudonymized (I make up a name to hide your identity). The interview will take place virtually over Microsoft Teams, and I will provide $20 as a thank you for participating.

If you are interested in taking part please email me, [email protected].
