There's still time to register for our upcoming informal alumni event in London on Thursday 21 May.

We were so pleased with the interest in this event that we've moved it just around the corner to a venue with a private room. The new venue is New Moon | Leadenhall Market | London | EC3V 0DN. From 6pm onwards.

Thanks to the generosity of Collingwood alumni and supporters, students are able to explore ambitious research opportunities that shape both their academic journey and future aspirations.

We are delighted to share .stewrt ’s story, a fourth year Physics student who undertook an Undergraduate Research Internship with the Astrophysics department. During his internship, Oli developed a series of universe flythrough visualisations, gained hands on research experience, and navigated the process of identifying a project and securing academic supervision while still in his second year.

Stories like Oli’s highlight the meaningful impact of the UGRI programme in enabling curiosity, creativity, and early research engagement within our student community.

Applications for Summer 2026 Undergraduate Research Internships remain open until 18 March 2026 at 11:59 PM. Students interested in applying are encouraged to explore the opportunity and submit their applications in advance of the deadline. Link in bio!

A huge congratulations to Ava Wadsworth and the Scotland U21 Hockey team. 🏑

We are incredibly proud of Ava, who recently represented Scotland U21 at the Junior Hockey World Cup in Chile.

This tournament marked a historic first for Scottish hockey, with Scotland qualifying for the Junior World Cup for the first time. After a fiercely competitive campaign, the team went on to win the Challenger Cup, with Ava named Player of the Match in the final.

Reflecting on the experience, Ava shared that running out in the Scotland kit, singing the anthem, and competing on a stage Scotland had never reached before was a defining moment in her sporting journey.

Thanks to support from Collingwood's Student Opportunities Fund, Ava was able to fully focus on performing and developing at the highest junior level.

We hope you can join us and other alumni and supporters for an evening of drinks and nibbles as we gather to celebrate the Collingwood community. This will also be an opportunity to say farewell to Principal Joe Elliott as he will be retiring from his post in the Summer after 14 years at Collingwood.

Joe will be joined by Vice-Principal (maternity cover), Lynsey Finnemore, Vice-Principal Emma Brownlow, Assistant Principal Grant Slater, and JCR President Charlotte Basing. We hope you are able to join us and share with us your stories of your involvement with Collingwood and we will be especially keen to hear about your memories of Joe.

Tickets to the event includes 3 hours unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks and a wide variety of canapés and bowl food.

Date: Friday 9th May 7pm-11pm (Exact timings to be confirmed)

🎄✨ Spreading Christmas Cheer from Collingwood! ✨🎄

This festive season, we’re thrilled to share the heartwarming results of our Music Outreach Project! Over the term, our incredible Collingwood Music Society volunteers teamed up with the choir at Burnside Academy, working together to create something truly magical.

Their hard work culminated in a beautiful performance at our Charity Christmas Concert, with all proceeds supporting Burnside Academy’s PTA.

Here’s a short video capturing the joy, dedication, and holiday spirit that made this project so special. A huge thank you to everyone involved—you’ve made this festive season unforgettable!
