β¨π AUTISTIC GIRL TOOLKIT ALERT πβ¨
One of the best things I've ever applied for as an autistic woman is my Disabled Persons Railcard! ππΈ
It gives me AND a companion 1/3 off rail travel, which has saved me so much money over the years.
Whether you're planning a day trip to Glasgow or an adventure to the Highlands, you can use it on train journeys all over Scotland and across the UK. π°ππ
I found applying online really quick and straightforward.
You'll usually need:
πΈ A passport-style photo
πͺͺ Photo ID
π Proof of disability (for example, PIP/ADP award letter, Blue Badge or other eligible evidence)
As an autistic woman, this has genuinely been a lifesaver for me.
Travel can already be expensive enough, so any savings are always welcome! πβ¨
If you have a Disabled Bus Pass, you may already have one of the documents needed to apply.
πΈπ The Railcard gives discounted train travel for both you and one adult companion travelling with you. ππ
It's definitely part of my personal Autistic Girl Toolkit and I wouldn't be without mine! ππβ¨
