The programme is enriched with a minimum of three international mobility periods, summer schools, legal clinic and moot courts, work placement opportunities, and an array of conferences, workshops, study trips and other networking and skills development opportunities.

🚌 On June 23 & 28, ILGSPD organized trips outside Barcelona.

🥂 During the first trip, students visited Montserrat Monastery and had a winery tour in Caves Codorniu.

🏖 The second trip destination was Salvador Dalí House Museum in Figueres and the beautiful town of Cadaqués on the Costa Brava.

On June 13-14, consortium visited IBEI - Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals for transition to second year of the program. Representatives from different pathways met the students in separate groups to discuss next semesters' teaching. ILGSPD also held a roundtable on the 'Reflections on Russia's War against Ukraine'. After, staff & students had a place for networking.

📍Since the most of the classes are over, IBEI - Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals continues to organise extra-curricular activities such as study trips in Barcelona.

🏣 This week students have visited Creu Roja Catalunya, Metropolis - World Association of the Major Metropolises, Generalitat de Catalunya (Department for Foreign Action and Open Government), Representació de la Comissió Europea a Barcelona, Union for the Mediterranean.

🗣 The students got to know the histories, goals and practices of these bodies.

Yesterday, ILGSPD students had an opportunity to attend an inspiring seminar "The Madrid Summit and the future of NATO" organised by IBEI - Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals in cooperation with Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y de Cooperación and Fundació Institut d’Estudis Nord-americans.

The seminar was held in regard to which will take place in Madrid in June. Three roundtable series with public speakers from different sectors covered emerging security topics, including the role of and , the crisis, the risks posed by , , and new .

In addition to the three summer schools ILGSPD offers, IBEI - Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals's summer school of the Mediterranean and the Middle East is a good opportunity for the ILGSPD students to learn about security issues ranging from extremism to gender in the context of the Middle East.

Tomorrow, Elene Bokhochadze is taking over our Instagram stories to share her usual day as an ILGSPD student.

Elene was born in Georgia and she has an LLB in Law as well as LLM in International Law from Tbilisi State University. She is currently studying at IBEI - Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals and taking the courses of Research Methods in International Security, Transitional Justice and Peace, Weapons of Mass Destruction, Peace Processes and Conflict Resolution and an intensive course in Gender, Security and Development.
Elene is following the Brussels Pathway 5 at ULB - Université libre de Bruxelles specialising Peace and Security, Security and Conflict.

The workshop is jointly organised by ILGSPD programme Co-Director and University of Glasgow Int'l Law Lecturer Asli Ozcelik Olcay, UCL Laws Prof. Kimberley Trapp and Mark Freeman (Institute for Integrated Transitions).

Radboud University (RU), Netherlands is one of the four prestigious consortium partners in ILGSPD program.
The students interested in Advanced or can opt for this track in their third semester and get an LLM degree in the respective subject.

Get to know our Consortium Partners!

Development is one of the constitutive elements of ILGSPD. The students who are interested in sustainability and governance will study at the Leuphana Universität Lüneburg and will be awarded a joint LLM in International Law of Global Security, Peace and Development with the University of Glasgow.
