Willis Tower: From Energy Model to Living Digital Twin

IES’ Matthew Duffy will be joining Barbara Hickey and Gregory Swiss at Cyclone Energy Group's 11th annual Innovation Rodeo to give you a look inside one of world's most iconic buildings, Willis Tower - and its path toward a sustainable future.

They will discuss three years of energyPLAN+ planning, including deep energy-efficiency studies supported by a detailed IES VE model. Now the project is moving to the next phase: deploying a digital twin using IES Live that compares modeled performance against real-time building and weather data.

The panel will cover how this live performance platform is supporting major equipment retrofits completed this year and helping guide future improvements.

RJC Engineers used IESVE to quantify comfort, identify potential design issues early, and support decisions that consider occupant experience alongside energy efficiency.
