š¹Ā Congratulations to GET-sponsored athlete and apprentice, Emelia Hughes!
We are incredibly proud to support Emelia as she represents Great Britain in archery on the international stage.
Competing at the European Youth Cup in Ruse, Bulgaria, Emelia took part in the Under 21 Women's Recurve category, where she achieved an impressive 14th place qualification out of 52 competitors, ranking as the highest-placed of the three GB women.Ā
As part of the GB women's team alongside Holly and Nicole, they progressed all the way to the Gold Medal Match, defeating teams from Israel, Ukraine and Russia before narrowly missing out to Germany and returning home with a fantastic Silver Medal.Ā š„
Emelia also competed in the individual event and mixed team competition with fellow GB archer Sam Ball. The tournament attracted competitors from over 30 countries and took place across a week of elite international competition.
Speaking about the experience, Emelia said:
"I'm really grateful for the support of GET and my sponsors. Attending these events costs a lot of money, and I wouldn't be able to do it without their support."
We are delighted to play a small part in helping talented young people achieve their goals, both in their careers and in sport.
