As another academic year comes to an end, we'd like to share some of the highlights from an incredible year at GET.
From welcoming the next generation of engineering apprentices to celebrating the achievements of those completing their programmes, it's been a year full of growth, success and opportunity.
Some of our highlights include:
🔹 Welcoming hundreds of visitors through our doors at open evenings, recruitment events and school visits.
🔹 Supporting employers across Gloucestershire to recruit and develop skilled engineering talent.
🔹 Celebrating outstanding apprentice achievements, competition success and EPA results.
🔹 Expanding opportunities for higher level engineering training in our Higher Education facility.
🔹 Attending MACH 2026, where our apprentices and staff explored the latest engineering and manufacturing innovations, connected with industry leaders and gained valuable insight into the future of engineering.
🔹 Investing in new industry-standard equipment, including SMC training rigs, Haas CNC machines and Vericut software.
🔹 Hosting employer briefings, careers events and engineering challenges to inspire the next generation.
🔹 Seeing our apprentices represent GET with confidence by leading workshop tours, mentoring school students and supporting outreach events.
🔹 Continuing to achieve outstanding outcomes, with an apprenticeship achievement rate significantly above the national average.
None of this would be possible without the dedication of our apprentices, employers, staff and partners. Thank you for your continued support, commitment and belief in developing the future engineering workforce.
To all of our apprentices moving into the next stage of their journey—whether progressing into the next year, completing your apprenticeship or starting your engineering career—we're incredibly proud of everything you've achieved.
We hope everyone enjoys a well earned summer break, and we look forward to welcoming new and returning apprentices for another exciting year in September.
Here's to another successful year of engineering excellence! ⚙️
