MSc Sports Therapy (Conversion) student Nick Brisdon, discusses his first year at Hartpury 💪

"As I come to the end of the first year of my postgraduate degree, I've been reflecting on how much I've developed both academically and practically. Throughout the year, I've completed modules in Clinical Assessment, Rehabilitation, and Anatomy, all of which have strengthened my knowledge, clinical reasoning, and confidence as a developing practitioner.

Alongside my studies, I've completed over 30 hours in the Hartpury Massage Clinic, further developing skills in soft tissue therapy, patient care, and professional communication. I've also gained valuable experience providing pitch-side first aid support for the Hartpury BUCS 2 Rugby team, allowing me to apply my learning to a real world sporting environment, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

It's been a rewarding but challenging first year, and with six months of the course left, I'm looking forward to continuing this journey and making the most of the opportunities to further develop as a Sports Therapist."

We had a fantastic and busy weekend at The Royal Three Counties Show! 🤩

A huge thank you to everyone who visited the main Hartpury stand. Our team loved answering your questions, helping you get involved in our activities, and handing out goodie bags to our alumni.

Over in the Future of Farming tent, our Digital Innovation Farm team discussed all things agriculture, technology, education, and innovation. They also took part in a range of important discussions, including conversations around mental health and insightful talks on the Future of Farming stage. It was great to see our College Principal, Claire Whitworth, play a key role by chairing several sessions throughout the event on Saturday.

Meanwhile, in the Cider Tent, Hartpury Cider was a great hit! 🍎 We loved spreading the word and seeing so many people enjoying our cider.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, we can't wait to see you again next year! 🌟

Our BTEC Level 3 Extended and Foundation Football Year 1 students visited the Gloucestershire Football Association (GFA), where they took part in workshops exploring football career pathways. ⚽

They delivered CPD presentations to GFA staff, receiving constructive feedback on their ideas and presentation skills. Alongside learning more about careers within sport, they focused specifically on the roles within a football club and how they operate.
