Our student rowers delivered a historic performance at the National Schools’ Regatta, securing multiple medals and a top 10 finish against 159 clubs and schools, in one of the UK’s most competitive junior rowing events! 🤩

The highlight of the regatta saw Hartpury make history by winning both the Championship Girls’ Double Sculls and Championship Open Double Sculls titles, believed to be the first time any club or school has achieved the double in the history of the National Schools’ Regatta 👏

Our students and staff joined wildlife experts to record more than 400 species during a 24-hour BioBlitz 🐦‍⬛🐞 Participants surveyed everything from birds and mammals to fungi, mosses, insects, trees, and wildflowers, contributing valuable biodiversity data while gaining hands-on experience in species identification, ecological surveying, and conservation.

Ben Brilot, Head of Sustainability at Hartpury University said: “Events like the BioBlitz are a fantastic example of learning in a living classroom. Students were able to work alongside experts and staff to explore the biodiversity on campus, develop practical ecological skills, and contribute to meaningful conservation work."

Last week, our Aspire Team organised a cake sale in support of the Neurodiversity Gloucestershire charity and the work of Jane Roberts, who will be visiting Hartpury in June to deliver ADHD awareness training for our FE teaching and support staff.

The charity is dedicated to raising awareness and improving understanding of ADHD and neurodiversity within schools and colleges. Jane’s story, in particular, is both powerful and inspiring, and it has led her to devote her time to campaigning, raising awareness, and supporting young people, families, and education providers through her charitable work.

The cake sale was a fantastic success, raising nearly £170 so far. A huge thank you to our Aspire Team for their hard work and enthusiasm in supporting such a great charity 😊

We're pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Hill as Academy Pathway Coach within the men’s rugby programme. 🏉

Mike will lead on the BUCS Super Rugby team while also supporting the ACE College programme, helping strengthen the connection between the different stages of Hartpury’s player development pathway.
