Making a Difference Together at Ilford inGreen 2026

Our students and staff were proud to participate in Ilford inGreen 2026 – Climate Action & Community Greening Day, joining local businesses, residents, and community partners in a collective effort to create a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Ilford.

Promoted by our college’s Employability & Progression Department in collaboration with the Marketing Department, the event provided an excellent opportunity for students to engage in meaningful environmental action while strengthening their connection with the local community.

Throughout the day, students and staff took part in litter-picking, recycling, and gardening activities, contributing to the improvement of public spaces and supporting local sustainability initiatives. The experience also encouraged teamwork, community engagement, and a greater understanding of the role we can all play in addressing environmental challenges.

We are proud of the enthusiasm and commitment shown by everyone involved. Events such as these demonstrate the positive impact that can be achieved when education, community partnership, and environmental responsibility come together.

Together, we are helping to build a more sustainable future for our community.

The activities:
• Football pool
• Penalty shootout
• 9-hole mini golf
• Inflatable basketball
• Chess
• Sumo games
• Additional games
• Drumstick demonstration

Food and drinks will be available during the event. Raffle tickets will also be available for £2 each.

The Student Welfare Team and Marketing Team from the Ilford and Gants Hill campuses are organising the Wellbeing Day event to close the academic year in a positive and enjoyable atmosphere.

Currently studying BA (Hons) Hospitality Management (Top-Up), Maria has worked closely with our Employability and Progression team to develop valuable professional skills, build confidence, and prepare for an exciting future in the beauty and fashion industry.
