Women's Paths Research Group

Women's Paths Research Group A research group focused on intersectional feminism and activism, based in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Women’s Paths aims to bridge the gap between women’s issues in the community and feminist scholarship in the academy. Focusing on local and global gender inequality and intersectional feminist perspectives, our seminar series for 2017/18 combines performances, film screenings and community-based activism with innovative academic scholarship that addresses issues affecting women today. In light of

Brexit, the election of Trump, refugee crises and rising global inequality, Women’s Paths believes it is now more important than ever for academics to remain in dialogue with communities. Women’s Paths creates a space for these connections to spark creativity and inspire action. The group is directed by Amber Lascelles and Arhthi Sathananthar (School of English, University of Leeds)
