We provide full-time arts education to over 1,000 students every year. We offer arts courses from Level 1 through to BA Honours Degrees. If you are successful in gaining a place on one of our specialist courses we will work with you to develop your creative skills and prepare you for the next big step – either to university, drama school, art college or the world of work. The school is divided into two departments: The Digital & Visual Arts Department offers specialist practical full-time study across art and design, computer games, graphic design, web and app development, and photography. The Media & Performance Production Department offers full-time study across acting, music, film and tv, dance, journalism, musical theatre performance as well as as theatre design and production courses. Facilities at our two delivery campuses – Park Lane and Technology – include a working theatre, dance studios, rehearsal spaces, print and animation workshops, photography and film studios and an entire floor dedicated to games design and development. We utilise Macs as well as PCs and students develop skills in a range of industry standard software including Adobe Suite, 3D Max, Maya and Unreal. Our staff team is made up of highly qualified professionals with a depth of experience in the working worlds of theatre, dance, fine art, graphics, web design, television, radio and media. They will push you hard because they are aware that progression to work and to higher education within the creative arts is only appropriate for those students who are willing to go ‘the extra mile’. The majority of our successful Level 3 students progress to university whilst others have gone on to work for design companies, in backstage production, TV production, and as performing artists across a range of disciplines.
