📣📣 Business Update 📣📣

We are very sad to announce the closure of Greens and Good Stuff Deli with immediate effect.

As most of you may already be aware, this was a collaborative project to provide affordable, accessible food alongside employment opportunities for local out of work young people.

In the short time that we have been open, we have supported our small team to gain skills, confidence and essential work experience to enable them to progress onto other opportunities. Unfortunately though, the project has run its course and it has been decided that we need to close the doors.

After a lovely few months, of serving vacon butties, grain bowls and numerous sausage rolls (most of them to Sarah and Martin! 🤣) it feels such a shame to make the decision to close just as we were establishing our offer.

Thank you to everyone who supported us with this project.

It is not the end for Greens and Good Stuff, just the end of this collaborative chapter.

Sometimes, traveling with 'dietary requirements' can feel overwhelming.. That's usually why we opt for a self catered accommodation and then we are able to pretty much control our meals (sounds extreme but if you know, you know!)

Thankfully, even the tiny city centre food shops had a HUGE plantbased range in Florence - so sorting breakfasts, tea in the evening was easy 🍽️

Some highlights from our adventures during the day included:

🍨 Cortese Café We did both locations on different days because we visited Santa Maria Novella and needed a pit stop.. Then later in our stay we popped for Gelato just over the river. They are fully gluten free-vegan so it's a must visit if you need allergy friendly treats!

🌯 Santo Falafel | Firenze We totally forgot how HUGE the portions are!! Most amazing falafel wrap (with chips, although we didn't need them!) REALLY fab spot and so lovely to see a fully vegan menu. Gutted we aren't staying longer because the list of specials looks sooo good.

🥪 The 'Secret Garden' bar just down from 'David's square' Serretorrigiani In Piazzetta - tucked in amongst the shops.. A lovely quiet spot with a bangin' houmous and roasted veg sandwich (totally massive - we shared this!)

🍕 Eataly Italia Although we felt like we were slightly betraying our favourite pizza place at home.. This was a fab spot for lunch. There's a few options on the menu (including a yummy sounding GFVG Roasted veg and Quinoa salad bowl).. But we opted for the marina (twice 😂) The staff were all really friendly and the produce in the retail section was good for 'cook for dinner' treats.

The vegan restaurant around the corner from where we are staying escaped us this time.. Il vegano bistro.. Although we are DEFINITELY going for a tiramisu next time!!

We already knew Florence was a good trip for us.. Seems it's got even more accessible in the 2 years since we last visited.

Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to delve into a cultural trip but slightly nervous about the food stuff x

Because it's been a little while since I was regularly offering a food/meal delivery service.. So I would really appreciate your feedback as we start to make plans for the offer through the Greens and Good Stuff Deli project..

The plan is to have a weekly offer for a collection service - something we can do on a Sunday as there's access around the back to drive and collect. What we offer though is kinda up to you.

In the past I have done everything from individual meal pots that were perfect for shift workers, people living alone, busy professionals and students through to older people who wanted an alternative to the slightly beige alternative meal service.. As well as full kit format recipe boxes with all elements to prepare the meals yourself.

My gut feeling is that fully prepped meals and meal elements in differing portion sizes is where the market is going.. Although I am happy to be wrong!

Would massively appreciate your input and support with this.

Looking to launch the new offer by the end of September 😉

Who's ready for some central Lincoln plantbased breakie options that are priced in the same ball park as Greggs!??

I mean.. It's about damn time right?

Launching at 8am on Wednesday 2nd of September, we will have a full takeaway breakfast menu available.. The PERFECT 'back to school' start 💪🏻

Pictured is the 'Smokey Vacon Bap' - £2.90 on its own or £3.50 with a hot drink 🥓🥓☕

Our breakfast menu will be available Wednesday through to Sunday until midday.

Other options will include loaded sourdough toasts and overnight oats with yummy seasonal toppings 😋

. You can currently get the NEW recipe seitan in our sourdough 'SLT' Sandwiches and in our Grain Bowls too.

Soon to be added to the freezer (along with the OG high protein Allotment burgers 😉)

So.. We are just about there!!

Soo chuffed that we pretty much have this exciting collaboration over the finish line 🎉🎉

TOMORROW we launch the brand shiny and new Greens & Good Stuff Deli - Lincoln in collaboration with Creative Rebel

A project VERY close to my heart, enabling local young neurdivergent people to have the opportunity to gain essential employability skills, build confidence and find their purpose 🥰

We are in soft launch for 2 weeks from tomorrow.. We will be gradually drip feeding the menu and product offer. I know that you guys will be kind, patient and understanding with the team while they get up to speed.. That's why why you're so fab 😉
