International Physicists' Tournament

International Physicists' Tournament The International Physicists' Tournament is a competition gathering university student teams from all around the World for unique "Physics Fights".

The International Physicists' Tournament was born in Ukraine in 2009 to perpetuate a long tradition of physics competitions in the USSR. It brought together 16 teams from the leading universities of Ukraine and neighboring countries. In the following years, the tournament was held in Kiev and Moscow. At the last, 15th edition in Paris, the IPT gathered 18 teams and more than 200 participants!

We were delighted to have Citadel Securities as a Silver Sponsor of this year's International Physicists' Tournament

It was a pleasure to welcome members of the Citadel team Todd Edmonds and Jack Lagnado to the tournament, where they had the chance to meet participants, watch the Physics Fights, and discuss the many parallels between the collaborative problem-solving at IPT and the analytical thinking that drives their work.

A big thank you to Citadel for supporting this year's tournament. We truly appreciate your partnership and are proud to have had you as part of IPT 2026!

A short recap of our workshop with the best Paula Heron! ✨
Lots of inspiring conversations and written sheets of 📜

During the workshop participants listened to Paula's research about teaching physics in academia. Later on small groups had a small physics problem to solve, quite easy but with different paths to the solution.

The question is- Can we tell that physicists reason well in physics 🤔🤔❓

Oh, and once again thank you for participating ❤️
