MAKE SENSE OF IT

MAKE SENSE OF IT MSOI is a purely fundraising committee set up to raise money for the MS Society. Funds get split between a research project & the MS Society grant fund.

MAKE SENSE OF IT (MSOI) provides funding for a Multiple Sclerosis Society Research Project and Grants for those currently living with the disease. One of our team has been diagnosed with MS and lives with the debilitating condition on a daily basis. MSOI is a purely fundraising group and has chosen to currently work with the MS Society UK. Every penny of the money raised goes towards our chosen pr

ojects. MSOI is funding two separate projects and any money raised gets split 50:50 between them.

1. RESEARCH:
Funds raised go to a research project, run by Dr Mark Kotter at University of Cambridge, in conjunction with Professor Schlomo Rotshenker, from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, to identify new ways to repair the damage done to the myelin sheath and therefore preventing the progression of MS. This is crutial in developments of treatments that can help people with MS.

2. HELPING PEOPLE WITH MS:
We raise funds for grants, which the MS Society offer to MS suffers, who are in desperate need of emotional benefits, home adaptations, a carer, mobility support or benefit guidance. We rely solely on sponsorship for our events as well as great support from the MS Society UK.
