Could differences between NHS trusts be contributing to inequalities in leukaemia treatment?
A new LSHTM-led study found that people living in more deprived areas of England were less likely to receive intensive chemotherapy for acute myeloid leukaemia. The researchers found substantial variation between NHS trusts, highlighting an opportunity to better understand treatment decisions and improve equity in cancer care.
