Arc'teryx

Arc'teryx Tune in, Out There. Function is our primary initiative. Designs are streamlined, architectural & enduring. The future holds unknown horizons. Evolution in action.

Arc’teryx was born and raised in Canada, with its Head Office located in North Vancouver and proprietary manufacturing facilities in Burnaby, BC. Beginning with harnesses in 1991 and moving into apparel in 1998, the single-minded application of designing the lightest, best performing, highest quality products lead a revolution in performance outdoor equipment. In-house manufacturing facilities allow the development of radical shifts in construction technologies and many Arc’teryx developed construction innovations are now perceived as standard. Materials are created and customized in combination with our long standing fabric partners. What began as an innovation company remains an innovation company.

Introducing Circular by Design — a series of hands-on workshops where we’ll take Arc’teryx gear that can no longer be repaired and reimagine it into something new, functional and unexpected.

Alongside local creators, we’ll explore the possibilities of creative reuse, with each city bringing its own perspective to circularity.

No phones. No watches. No pace to chase.

A group of Arc’teryx runners crossed the Peaks of the Balkans through Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro, navigating by map and by the people they met along the way.

Without the usual noise and constant measurement, the journey became less about distance or performance — and more about being present: to the mountains, to each other, and to what’s happening in between.

Arc’teryx athlete Tonje Kvivik (Tonje Kvivik) knows how important it is to wash her gear. Season prep starts well before the first day on snow.

Giving your kit a proper wash, dry, and reset makes a massive difference when the weather turns. Taking care of your technical pieces is the easiest way to restore performance, add years to your gear, and keep your favourite shells in rotation for winters to come.

For eM Pellerin (eM Pellerin), Heavy Fuel (5.13c PG-13) was less a leap than an evolution.

Thirteen pitches long when exiting via Freeway and loaded with demanding, runout climbing, Heavy Fuel has earned its reputation as a modern trad testpiece in Squamish. From when she first started climbing in Squamish in 2008, to her historic onsight of The Shadow (5.13a) in 2018, eM has found that every season here brings her a little closer to realizing what she’s capable of.

On September 12, with Ian Cooper, she went for Heavy Fuel. She fought tough conditions, encountered surprising cruxes, but ultimately topped out by headlamp with success.

Congrats, eM, on the first female ascent of Heavy Fuel.

The three goals of alpinism are to come home, to come home as friends, and to come home as friends with a summit — in that order.

By that standard, Arc’teryx athlete Jim Pope’s (Jim Pope) recent trip to Pakistan to climb Trango Tower was a complete success.

Climbing with three of his closest friends from Sheffield, England — Pat Hill, Sam Harvie, and Theo Elmer — Pope et al. reached the summit of Trango Tower via the route Eternal Flame on August 2, taking three days to reach the top.

“For me, Trango Tower is one of, if not the most, striking cliffs in the world,” says Pope. “It’s just badass, and Eternal Flame is probably the nicest way to climb the tower.

Though Pope aspired to achieve a free ascent of the 24-pitch Eternal Flame (7c+), he didn’t free climb the two crux pitches, in part due to wet rock. One of the crux pitches is situated below a snowy ledge, which runs with meltwater all day on the south-facing wall. Reaching this pitch in dry conditions requires precise timing and a dedicated strategy, which wasn’t the team’s priority.

Pope, 27, is a gifted all-around climber with numerous notable achievements in bouldering, sport, trad, and big wall climbing. He has free climbed Magic Mushroom (8b+) on El Capitan in Yosemite, bouldered 8B+ and flashed 8B, ticked 8c+ sport routes, and achieved a number of E9 headpoints on his local Grit.

The rest of the team works full-time jobs. Hill is a schoolteacher, Harvie is a paramedic, and Elmer is an engineer. They all met climbing in Sheffield, where Pope had moved for university and Hill first mentored him in trad climbing. The four friends have tried to schedule big climbing trips around everyone’s busy schedules. In 2024, they climbed walls in the Kara-su and Ak-su valleys in Kyrgyzstan. Earlier this year, they climbed desert towers in Algeria.

“Eternal Flame had been the route Pat had most wanted to climb since he started,” says Pope. “So I guess the dream sparked from him and his enthusiasm for it.

After a few years of building up, we finally felt like we were competent enough to try it, so we put it in the diary for summer ’26.”

Winter found further south.

In Chile, Victor Daviet moves through new terrain, changing snow, and lines shaped by whatever the mountain gives you.

What followed was a season he won’t soon forget.
