The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is a world-leading centre for research and postgraduate education in public and global health
Founded in 1899 by Sir Patrick Manson, the School is now part of the University of London and has expanded in recent years at its two main sites on Keppel Street and Tavistock Place. We work with partners worldwide to support the development of teaching and research capacity. Library, Archive & Open Research Services provide access to a huge range of books, journals and electronic resources, as well as advice and training. The archives of the School date from the mid-nineteenth century and consist of correspondence and personal papers of scientific, medical and public health professionals involved in the search for preventative measures and cures to diseases.
