While the majority of our work is related to buildings, sometimes we get involved in some projects which can seem more mundane, but they are essential.

The new car park at Hendra will reduce vehicle movements across the holiday park, improve pedestrian safety and provide a an attractive welcome to the site. It will take a while for the soft landscaping to flourish, but when it does the car park borders will be home for all kinds of birds, insects and invertebrates.

We assisted the park owners by preparing the designs and obtaining planning permission for the clients to take the scheme forward on site.
The rationalising of the car parking and provision of additional motorhome parking on site is just part of major improvements to the holiday park over this last winter.

Not only has the parking improvements been going on, but nearby, the Newquay Rocks development is also well underway. Our original planning permission was taken forward by a professional technical construction design team and the contractors are nearing completion on site. 🥳

Hedgehogs manage to get themselves into all sorts of bother thanks to us and our human-made landscapes. Sampson here was a slightly more unusual case! 💙🦔🐾

He fell into a pond and, with the steep smooth sides, became trapped. The only way out was through a pipe connecting to a second pond — where sadly he became stuck fast. Thankfully, his finders were brilliant. They drained the ponds, put supports in place, and eventually managed to cut him free.

By the time he arrived with us, Sampson was extremely hypothermic and very sore from being trapped. After a couple of weeks in care, he made a fantastic recovery and was fit and healthy for release back into the wild. 🌿

If you have a pond that’s accessible to wildlife, we’d really recommend adding a gradual sloped edge, ramp, or other easy escape route for hedgehogs and other animals. A small change can make a life-saving difference 💚

No experience needed — just enthusiasm and reliability. Full training provided. You’ll clean hutches, feed, health check hedgehogs, and help keep everything running smoothly.

We are delighted to officially hand over the site to Prickles & Paws Hedgehog Rescue following the successful completion of Phase 1. This milestone is a testament to the hard work of everyone involved, including Warvena Construction Ltd, Pink Pebble Construction & Property Consultants, and Shiney Electrical to name just a few.
