Hi everyone! Just a quick update about the society 📣

If you’ve been thinking about joining the committee for next year (which you definitely should 👀), nominations open on Monday 16th and close Friday 20th at 12pm.

You can nominate yourself through our Once a Month page on the SU website. Even if you’re not 100% sure about committing to a leadership role next year, we’d still really encourage you to apply – it’s a great experience and definitely worth putting yourself forward!

Elections will run the week after the nomination period.

The committee positions available for next year are:
• President
• Vice President
• Treasurer
• General Secretary
• Fundraising Officer (x2)
• Social Media Officer

In the meantime, feel free to message if you have any questions!

It would be amazing to see some of you on the 26/27 committee ✨

Today is the day that the world formally recognises and celebrates the impact women have made and continue to make across the world 💜

Here’s to strong women across the globe - those who inspire others and challenge us to be better everyday!

Despite this recognition, women remain to suffer. Therefore, let today be a reminder that there is still work to do! We must raise our voices and challenge whatever we can!

It’s official! We have confirmed our date for the next packing session!

Last year we managed to create over 500 packages, thanks to the fantastic volunteers, companies and societies. It’s time to do it again!

Come join us, we need your help 💜 Bring any donations and as many people as you can! Let’s fight period poverty together!

Our next packing session is happening soon and we need help getting donations!

Donation points are around the university or bring them to the packing session! But start collecting now 💜

Reminder: we accept any products but must be sealed for hygiene reasons.

Even if it is a single tampon we appreciate your help, look out for more announcements 💜

We’re collecting period & hygiene product donations to support our next packing session and get essentials directly to people who need them most.
✨ Pads, tampons, hygiene items, sweet treats — anything helps
✨ Whether it’s one item or a whole box, it all makes a difference
✨ All donations go straight into our packs, and you can even attend a packing session later on to see the impact firsthand
📍 Drop-off locations:
• Mooch Food Bank
• Students’ Union Reception
• Your local accommodation reception or common room, including:
– Raleigh Park
– Manor Villages
– Nottingham Two
– Deacon’s Place

Packing day is approaching!

Here are all the things you need to know!

Keep collecting products and either take them to our donation boxes (information on a previous post) or bring them to the session. Ideally we’d love to have the products before the session!

You can still bring donations to the actual packing session, but if you are unable to make it please use the donation boxes!

Our Christmas Packing Session will be soon .. 🎄❤️

To get ready, if you can, please begin gathering period products — pads, tampons, diva cups, hygiene items, or small treats like chocolates or candy canes.

Whether it’s a box of pads or just one— all help is welcome. We want and need your support, so please get involved and come along!

More details about when and where the packing session will take place will be sent very soon, but until then, sit tight, start your collection boxes, and we want to see you coming through with tote bags FULL of products to share!

The more we collect, the more bags we can pack, and the more people we can support this Christmas. It’s the season of giving, and this is such a meaningful way to give back and make a real impact.

Let’s make a big push for a big impact. 💗
