📣 SWI Members – We Need You! 🎨🧶

We’re getting ready for the Creative Crafts Show in Glasgow, running from 23rd–26th October, and we're looking for demonstrators and helpers to help make it a success!

✨ Demonstrators:
We’re looking for one member each day to run two Make & Take craft sessions. A brilliant opportunity to showcase your skills and get others crafting!

✨ Helpers:
We need 3–4 volunteers per day to help on the SWI stand. Just a 2-hour shift on a day of your choice - chatting to visitors, sharing what we do, and keeping things running smoothly.

Whether you're a seasoned crafter or just love chatting to people about the SWI, we’d love to have you on board!

On Wednesday we braved the rain when we had our joint summer outing to Archerfield Walled Garden with Cranstoun SWI and Cousland SWI. The ladies enjoyed a fantastic introductory talk from head gardener Kerry in the comfort of the polytunnel before venturing out into the beautiful, if drenched, gardens. Tea and cake followed in the café along with a bit of retail therapy in the shop and garden centre before we headed back up to The Stair Arms Hotel for dinner. A great day was had by all and we are looking forward to planning for when we resume our meetings in September.

Reminder it’s our Federation Summer Social meeting on 4th June which will take the form of a quiz. There’s still time to do some cramming!! We hope to see lots of members coming along to join in the fun. Don’t worry if you don’t wish to take part in the quiz, just come along for the social get together and refreshments.
