✨Where has the time gone !

2023 marks the 10th anniversary for Mel with us at CICD, In October 2013, Mel joined CICD as a Development Instructor for an 18 month program where she volunteered on a project called One World University in Mozambique as a teacher.

Mel's wish following this first program is that more and more volunteers felt the same ! An incredible urge to do something to help and since then, Mel has continued to work with the college as a full time teacher.

Mel is currently away, while her current team are in Zambia to aid Humanitarian Projects with Humana People to People. We'll catch up with her when she returns.

✨Most commonly asked questions 'Part Three'

We understand students can have many, many questions about the programmes we run here at CICD.

Here are a couple of of the more commonly asked questions.....

Q1: How many hours a week do we study?

This programme is very much Full Time! It is intensive and varied, and you will often be busy during weekends and in the evenings. This could be 40-60 hours a week.

Q2: Who are the teachers at CICD?

We are a very mixed bunch – from different countries and with a range of different qualifications and experiences.

Most teachers are former Development Instructors, and some also have many years of teaching experience as well as experience from working at Humana's projects in Africa. There is a short presentation of each of them in the section “Meet the staff group” on the CICD web site.

You can find most of the commonly asked questions on our FAQs page on our website as well as on our previous Part One & Part Two posts.
