I'm pleased to share with everyone that a new open-access Special Issue of the International Journal of Traditional Arts (IJTA) is now available from https://tradartsjournal.ncl.ac.uk . Through six case studies across four continents, ‘Social justice, human rights, and sustainability of traditional arts’ (IJTA vol. 4 no. 1, 2022), guest edited by Dr Catherine Grant, explores how vibrant and viable traditional arts practices can be formidable instruments in the pursuit of social justice and human rights.

The International Journal of Traditional Arts is an international, peer-reviewed journal that promotes a broad-ranging understanding of the relevance of traditional arts in contemporary social life.
