Research from the Feast and Famine project is being used to improve resources for teaching, learning and assessing languages in Croatia and Czechia - read about it here:

A new AHRC funded linguistics project is set to help language learners, teachers and therapists tackle one of the most challenging aspects of learning Czech and Croatian — the variety of word forms used in everyday speech and writing.

We're deeply sorry to hear of the passing of Dr Kamila Smejkalová, who was a member of this project team from 2020-2022. We will remember her fondly, as a colleague, a scholar and a person, and value the contribution she made to our project in all these areas. Rest in peace, Kamila.

K vedení oddělení a časopisu přistupovala vždy s potřebnou erudicí a současně s velkou pílí a vědeckou poctivostí. Její nejbližší spolupracovníci si velmi vážili jejího smyslu pro spravedlnost, dobrosrdečnosti, schopnosti vytvářet příjemné pracovní prostředí, a zejména empatie, s níž k nim přistupovala.

An article looking at a historical dimension of our project.... Open access and available from the website of Naše řeč (article in English).

V rubrice Recenze a zprávy Ondřej Dufek posuzuje knihu Michala Hořejšího Politika lesa a členové redakce přinášejí shrnutí bohemistických disertací roku 2022.
