General information

The Brackenhurst campus boasts a stunning 200 hectare estate consisting of farmland, woodland and streams set in the heart of rural Nottinghamshire. The campus is the student’s outdoor classroom where a wealth of practical based experience can be found. Students from various courses use the estate for research, field work and the management and conservation of the countryside. There are a number of species on the campus, including: •water vole Arvicola terrestris •badger Meles meles •harvest mouse Micromys minutus •water shrew Neomys fodiens •bats Order chiroptera •barn owl Tyto alba •yellowhammer Emberiza citrinella •tree sparrow Passer montanus •house sparrow Passer domesticus •great crested newt Triturus cristatus
