Thanks everyone for coming along to our event today.

While all our volunteers are celebrities to us, we are always delighted when Deacon Blue drummer, BBC presenter and all round good-guy, Dougie Vipond, joins us on the roster.

Dougie fully endorses the volunteering experience at parkrun, so please consider following his example and sign up for a role in the coming weeks.

#266 is complete, thanks to all our excellent volunteers.

We had 222 finishers, and the runner finishing 22nd, crossed the line in 22 mins.

Off to buy a lottery ticket.

Our RD Mark is taking on one of the marathon classics this weekend, as he toes the line at the London Marathon. Not sure if the hills on our course were good preparation or not, but he's ready to go.

Not to brag, but this is the most glorious time at UoS. The daffodils are still out, but the other plants are flowering and the cherry is in full blossom, even a few bluebells. And the first of the trees are in leaf.

All the feels for event #265, thanks to all the volunteers, first class as always.

Special shout to Emma Hall, on posting up her 50th run, and kudos to Ta-wing P**n for getting up early and flying in from Belfast just to bag his "U".
