So many incredible achievements from our WS100 supported athletes and alumni. 👏 Here are just a glimmer of the highlights.

🏆 A golden summer for our WS100 rowers! 🚣‍♀️🇬🇧

Huge congratulations to The University of Edinburgh scholars shining on the world stage at the recent U23 World Rowing Championships:

🥇 Josh Matthews – GOLD in the Men’s Quad Sculls, helping GB secure its first men’s sculling world title since 2019.
🥈 Grace Dawson – SILVER in the Women’s Quad Sculls.
👏 Freddy Foxwell – Strong 8th place in the Men’s Double Sculls.

And the momentum continues…

🇨🇦 Penny Irvine has been selected for Great Britain’s Women’s Eight at the FISU World University Championships in Canada later this month.

Meanwhile, Isobel Clements continues to impress on the senior international stage for Ireland, adding 🥈 and 🥉 medals across this season’s World Rowing Cups.

Incredible performances all round – we’re proud to support your journey. 💙

Applications are now open for the 2026–27 Winning Students 100 programme – Scotland’s national sports scholarship, designed to help talented athletes thrive in both education and elite sport.

Successful applicants can benefit from:

WS100 scholar and The University of Edinburgh swimmer Anna Morgan will go from graduating from Edinburgh Napier University to representing Team Scotland at Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games in a matter of days. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
