Yesterday, our MBA students joined us for a social evening, giving them the opportunity to meet classmates, connect with tutors, and also munch on some 🍕

MBA life is about more than lectures and coursework, it’s about building a strong network, forming lasting friendships, and learning from a community of professionals with diverse backgrounds and ambitions

Our International Business and Accounting & Finance students joined us for a social evening, giving them the chance to meet classmates, connect with tutors, and build friendships beyond the classroom.

University is about more than lectures and assignments, it’s about creating a community, expanding your network, and making memories along the way. From sharing experiences to discussing future ambitions, it was fantastic to see so many of you coming together and getting to know one another.

Last week, staff and students came together at the FBL Learning, Teaching & Assessment Conference 2026 to explore how we can continue to enhance teaching, learning and assessment across the Faculty.

At FBL, students are at the heart of everything we do. That's why student voices were a key part of the conversation, helping to shape discussions about the future of learning and ensuring that enhancement is informed by real experiences and feedback. 💙

By working together, we're creating learning experiences that are engaging, inclusive and designed to support student success both during university and beyond.

Our May starters from the MSc International Logistics and Supply Chain Management course recently came together for an interactive course induction session, giving students the chance to connect with one another, meet their module tutors, and kick-start their ARU journey with confidence.

From team-building challenges to great conversations (and delicious food), the session was all about building connections, collaboration, and community from day one.

Safe to say, they’re more than ready for the journey ahead 💙

Committee Member of the Year 🏆

From growing the Horror Society community to speaking at the Students’ Union Society Conference about improving engagement and running successful events, Shodai has spent his time at ARU helping students feel more connected, involved, and supported. And we as your faculty, are super proud of that!

This year, that dedication was recognised with the Committee Member of the Year award at the Union Awards, celebrating the time, energy, and heart he’s put into both his society and the wider student community.

You might be wondering how ARUCPD (a co-curricular programme that builds skills alongside your studies) could possibly be connected to one of the biggest music festivals in the world…
Well… we did some digging
Exhibit 1:

Coachella = pics to flex on your socials
Exhibit 4:
Tri 3 modules are mostly online… meaning you can join from anywhere with WiFi… even the desert
Coachella = desert + WiFi
I’m not saying it’s connected… but I’m also not not saying it…
