Huge congratulations to second-year Health Sciences PGR Kirsty Way, who recently qualified to represent Great Britain at this year’s World Games!

The World Games is considered 'the Olympics for non-Olympic disciplines' and takes place every four years. Kirsty has secured GB’s only female spot in the double mini trampoline, a fast-paced gymnastics discipline.

Kirsty balances her dedication to her sport alongside her research project, which ultimately aims to develop a quality of life measurement tool specifically for young cancer survivors.

Kirsty is now training hard for August, with her sights set on the podium - congratulations Kirsty! 👏

Great work from Biological Sciences PGR Grace, who is supporting a local breast cancer charity event this weekend!

PhD student Grace Hayes, who studies how breast cancer spreads to bones, is supporting the Breast Walk Ever event in Hursley on 8 June in aid of the research they conduct, alongside her mum, Deborah Parnell.

They’re honouring Deborah’s aunt, who died of breast cancer at just 52.
