Join Birmingham Symphonic Winds on Sunday 6 March at 3pm, as they present a special concert celebrating the 70th birthday of one of the UK's most prolific composers, Philip Sparke.

Join BSW for a birthday celebration for composer Philip Sparke, including Hymn to the Fallen, The Washington Post, Land of the Long White Cloud and highlights of Queen, along with exciting trumpeter Alan Thomas. Come early and join Philip in a Q&A session before the concert.

Composition student Eden Longson attended the RNCM Wind Orchestra rehearsals this week to watch his colleagues prepare his world première, Filed on the Interstellar Hard Drives and Archives. The public performance takes place this Friday alongside a 21st century programme featuring percussion superstar Colin Currie.

Our Head of RNCM Composition, Professor Adam Gorb invites offer holders to join us for two online activities on 22 and 25 January. Designed to help you make an informed decision on where to study, events include a talk with Vocal Tutor Hilary Summers about writing for voice; and a composition play through with composition and keyboard students.
