It's the last day of the MSt in Social Innovation June residential, and we've certainly rounded off the week in style!

This morning the students delivered the group presentations they've been working on during the week and there were some very inventive (but unexpected) acting skills on show!

We finished the day with a fascinating and inspiring guest lecture from Peter Holbrook CBE, Chief Executive of Social Enterprise UK.

It's already Day 4 of the MSt in Social Innovation June residential, and we've had another busy day!

We started by looking towards next year and the dissertation phase of the programme, then the students took part in an impact investing role play in groups - with some interesting negotiation tactics taking place! Some more group work, ahead of tomorrow's group presentations, ended the day.

We've reached the middle of the MSt in Social Innovation June residential week, and today our focus is on social finance.

This morning our students took part in a simulation exercise on fishbanks, before moving on to learning about various ways of financing social ventures and measuring return on investment. We'll end the day with the students continuing their group work ahead of their presentations on Friday.

It's Day 2 of the MSt in Social Innovation Cohort 9 residential week, and we've had a varied day of activities!

This morning we were joined by panellists from Harry Specters, Animorph, Noise Solution, and Social Impact SL, to discuss the reality of running and working within social enterprises, followed by group work after lunch.

We ended the day with a fascinating talk on integrating social innovation in primary education from Professor Simone Phipps of Middle Georgia State University, a research fellow at the Cambridge Centre for Social Innovation.

Our latest essay in our critical perspectives series is now live.
It introduces ‘organisational lethality’ – the spectrum of visible and hidden ways all organisations perpetuate killing people, other species and the planet within a globalised thanato-economy – and urges social innovators to shift toward ‘organisational vitality’, regenerating life rather than destruction.
