GIPA MEDIA LAB The goal of the project is to integrate ethnic communities into the public life of Georgia through equipping young population with multimedia skills

Ethnic Population of Georgia, mostly living in Samtskhe- Javakheti ( Ethnic- Armenians) and Kvemo Kartli ( Etnic -Azerbaijanis ) regions has limited knowledge of Georgian Language and no access to plural news, information and opinions. These communities don't have skills to generate, seek and consume news , are left without tools to participate and influence public affairs. Project will focus

on equipping young population and community leaders in minority populated areas of Georgia with multimedia knowledge and skills to generate, produce, seek and critically assess news and information as well as bussines and social entrepreneurship skills to use these skills in bussines and social projects for betterment of their communities and the nation. Project will be implemented by Caucasus School of Journalism and Media Management (GSJM) by the generous support of the U.S. Department of State.

ასპარა, მოჩვენებების სოფელი

ასპარა, სოფელი ნინოწმინდაში, საარჩევნო ხმების ძიების ერთ-ერთ ადგილად იქცა. ალპური მთებით და ფარავნის ტბით გარშემორტყმული სოფელი მძიმე კლიმატმა და ინფრასტრუქტურულმა პრობლემებმა ადამიანებისგან განძარცვა, თუმცა დაცარიელებულ ადგილებში სიცილისა და სიხარულის აჩრდილები კვლავ ცხოვრობენ და გახუნებულ კედლებს ებღაუჭებიან.

ფილმი არტიომ ქოსიანის ავტორობით გადაღებულია 2023 წელს, GIPA MEDIA LAB-ის სასწავლო კურსის ფარგლებში, ჯავახეთში.

📣 GIPA Media Lab-ი იწყებს მულტიმედია ტრენინგების ახალ სერიას ქვემო ქართლსა და ჯავახეთში.

🎯 მონაწილეები შეისწავლიან აუდიო-ვიზუალურ თხრობას, სოციალურ მედიას, ასევე იმუშავებენ ფოტო პროექტებსა და დოკუმენტურ ფილმებზე. ტრენინგები, რომლებსაც გაუძღვებიან საზოგადოებრივ საქმეთა ინსტიტუტის (GIPA)-ს ლექტორები, ჩატარდება შაბათ-კვირას აღნიშნულ რეგიონებში. ინსტრუქციის ენა ჯავახეთში იქნება სომხური და ქვემო ქართლში - აზერბაიჯანული.

🏆 საუკეთესო პროექტების ავტორები დაჯილდოვდებიან სხვადასხვა პრიზებით, როგორიცაა მობილური ტელეფონი, ფოტო და ვიდეო კამერები და აუდიო-ვიზუალური წარმოებისთვის საჭირო სხვა ტექნიკა. საუკეთესო მონაწილეები კი დაჯიდოვდებიან მთავარი პრიზით - ჯიპას საბაკალავრო და სამაგისტრო პროგრამებზე უფასო სწავლის შესაძლებლობით.

ტრენინგებში მონაწილეობა შეუძლიათ ახალგაზრდებს - სკოლის მოსწავლეებსა და სტუდენტებს - ქვემო ქართლისა და ჯავახეთის რეგიონიდან.

📣 GIPA Media Lab is commencing a new cycle of multimedia training program in the Kvemo Kartli and Javakheti regions.

🎯 Participants will learn how to create photo, video stories and social media by using professional production equipment. The training sessions, facilitated by instructors from the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA), will be held on weekends in the regions. The language of instruction will be Armenian in Javakheti region and Azerbaijani in Kvemo Kartli region.

🏆 Outstanding works will be recognized with prizes like photo and video cameras and other production equipment. The best participants will receive the Grand Prize - opportunity of free of charge education at GIPA’s bachelor's and master's programs.

The training program is open to youth—schoolchildren and students—from the Kvemo Kartli and Javakheti regions.

📲 Application deadline: November 21, 2024. 23:00.
Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed.

💥We are happy to announce that GIPA Media Lab training participants have presented their short documentary films in Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli regions.

🎙Participants had Q & A with the guests and shared their experience. Winners from both regions will be revealed on GIPA DocU Festival in December.
