There has been a flood in Ghana, and many lives and properties have been lost. Some factories and their products were destroyed along with everything else.
Ehy do entrepreneurs in Ghana prefer to build industries in poorly planned urban areas with little or no proper demarcation or drainage?
Ghana's recent floods exposed the cost of building factories in unplanned urban zones. Italy shows a different model, where many of its most successful companies, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Luxottica, and various textile and ceramic producers, are based in small towns and rural districts rather than crowded cities. This raises the question of why Ghana hasn't adopted similar industrial planning to protect both lives and investment.
