FIRST COHORT OF THE INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATE IN IMPACT ENTREPRENEURSHIP (ICIE) UNDER THE EU-GHANA PACT FOR SKILLS GRADUATES
Takoradi Technical University (TTU) joined three other partner universities for the Graduation Ceremony of the International Certificate in Impact Entrepreneurship (ICIE) under the EU-Ghana Pact for Skills: Support Tertiary Education for Sustainable Employability – Entrepreneurship Stream.
The ceremony, funded by the European Union and co-implemented by the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) and E4Impact Foundation, was held on Wednesday, 20th August 2026, at the E4Impact Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre, Accra.
The ICIE programme is designed to equip students and faculty from Ghanaian tertiary institutions with an entrepreneurial mindset, impact-driven business skills and sustainable enterprise development tools to enhance employability and promote sustainable enterprise development.
The graduation ceremony brought together representatives from the European Union, UNCDF, E4Impact Foundation, Stanbic Bank, partner universities and industry players.
A thought-provoking presentation on the theme, “Universities as Catalysts for Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Enterprise Growth,” was delivered by Prof. Christian Mensah, Pro Vice Chancellor of Ho technical university.
Present at the event were Prof. Mrs. Abigail Gura who is the Programme Lead for ICIE programme at TTU, and Mr. Alhassan Musah, Lecturer from the Department of Accounting and Finance as the business coach.
The Programme Lead for Takoradi Technical University, Prof. Mrs. Abigail Padi Gura, Dean of the Faculty of Business, highlighted TTU’s contribution to the programme, the transformation of participating students and the University’s commitment to embedding entrepreneurship, innovation and impact-driven learning in teaching and learning.
The graduation featured an Entrepreneurs Spotlight and Open Discussion, providing participants with an opportunity to engage with entrepreneurs and industry experts on practical experiences in impact entrepreneurship and sustainable enterprise development.
The graduating cohort was presented with certificates and awards by E4Impact and UNCDF in recognition of their successful completion of the International Certificate in Impact Entrepreneurship.
