As we approach the final month of the “Power and Pathos” exhibition at the National Gallery of Art, there is an exciting lecture program to accompany the exhibition. This Sunday Feb. 21, Polyxeni Adams-Veleni, Director of the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki will talk about the Bronze Sculptures of Hellenistic Macedonia. Later in the week, there will be three performances by Evy Papadopoulou, archaeologist and Nikos Xanthoulis, Assistant Researcher at the Academy of Athens, as well as a panel discussion on bearded male bronzes, coordinated by the Center for Hellenic Studies.
